Linen is a breathable fabric which keeps you fresh and refreshed even in hot and humid weather. It is a cool fibre with higher conductivity which is very suitable for tropical and sub- tropical climate. It is a textile made from the fibres of the flax plant which is very strong, absorbent and dries faster than cotton. Linen fabric typically varies somewhat in thickness and is crisp and textured, but it can in some cases feel stiff and rough, and in other cases feel soft and smooth. In order to get the yarn the farmers go through various processes like retting, scotching, heckling etc. Once the yarn is ready it takes about 5-7 days to weave a saree.
